Newspaper.....even a mundane object, in the hands of an artist can become a work of art.

Aren't these fashions amazing? Who wouldn't want to live this fantasy?Newspaper can be a great wall treatment...shellacked , lime washed or tea stained....
Stock market sections or foreign prints are nice against antiques....
Ok, these are technically not newspaper, but I love these coy made from US dollar bills....still trying to find a source for them...
Origami stars make up this bracelet...

This is what artists do...see an object not as it is...but what it can be...try to look at your world through different eyes today!

oh this was fun!
Theresa, this is an outstanding post. Who would have thought of all these possibilities.
Thank you for bringing these outstanding ideas to us. I loved every single one of them.
Wonderful post.
No need to tea stain, time and light will yellow newsprint all too quickly.
So incredible! Its just that much more astounding that an artist can see under the everyday items we rush through. Thanks Theresa!
Oh Patrick....you take all the fun out of it! You of all people ought to know an artist can't leave something alone! I want to grab a brush and do SOMETHING to change it, make it mine, make it unique, make it ART!
Truly newsworthy.
HBD-touche!

Your way of seeing and sharing is so vital for our media-based culture. Thanks for taking us back to the basics.

Nice -- super cool post. I love the gift wrapping, will have to steal that idea... :)
That was an amazing post!!
Artists really do look at things differently. That was absolutely fascinating :)
Thanks
Love these papery dresses and jewelry!!
so witty
Theresa, thanks so much for your tip on Fred Cox's blog! I loved his work when I saw it at the show house.
I've seen several "newspaper inspiration" stories, but nothing like this - I'm especially fascinated by the jewelry! Really unique. I'd wear those pieces in a second. And wouldn't it be fun to do it with foreign newspapers? Particularly in mandarin or Japanese?
