Wandering in Venice...!

Getting lost in Venice is almost always inevitable! I know the city well enough to get from one district to another...

But it is so easy to get distracted by all of those incredible window displays and get off track!

Getting away from the tourists paths, you will find more of what Venice  is known for, intricate lace...

Wood carvers and gilders....

And incredible carved stone on almost every building...

Old world charm with medieval influences are still a typical site.

But eventually, you make you way back towards your destination...

And the water that connects all things in Venice. Happy wanderings to all who visit this magical place!

Dear Theresa, What a lucky girl you are to have visited Venice once again. Lovely photographs. I love wandering through the back streets of Venice but without a good map we always end up at a dead end canal, which often leads to seeing details from another angle. Happy sunday to you. ox, Gina

Hi, Theresa - I would love to go to Venice - there is so much of the world I haven't seen! I'm glad you included the next-to-last photo. It has a sort of patina to it - a little worn, but especially with that handsome lettering, still looks elegant ...

Mark...you described Venice to a "T"....it has sort of a patina to it and a little worn, but still elegant!

No wonder people get lost in Venice. Every block is like its own time zone—told in centuries. So beautiful and mesmerizing.
