Ghost Nest....

A few months ago, I entered a contest that Teri Long had on her very creative blog- La Dolfina. The prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were custom drawer knobs from Ghost Nest.

The contestant was to describe how they would use these fabulous knobs in an organizational way. I won 2nd place!

These knobs are from Ghost Nest. They offer round and square shapes and you provide the image (or chose from their files)you want embedded in the clear knob. Reid Evans is the San Francisco based artist behind the concept of Ghost Nest.

I promised to use my custom knobs on a file cabinet to organize each drawer, but decided the old file boxes would be a more clever idea!

I chose photos from my travels and home to visually organize my life. I can simply glance at the pictures and know which one is a file for home, clients, bills, current projects, etc. Thank you Teri for creating this give-away and be sure to visit Reid's site and organize your life in 2011.

OK. OK. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous. Where do you live again? And remind me about your security system? I guess I could look into buying them, too... ;) Congrats, Theresa - they are gorgeous!

Multiple brilliant ideas, starting with the personalized knobs and then going the extra step to use them as organizing tabs - I love it! What size are the knobs?

Yay for you! Your idea is brilliant and the photos are so perfect with the paper of your file boxes.
I wish I was packing my trunk, by the way. You would be the perfect friend to visit Venice with.
Thanks for adding me to your list! I believe you're the first. Such a nice surprise.
Have a great week, Theresa.

Regina. you NEED to play with these! Get some.

Mark- they are 1 1/2 inches square, basically a standard size.

Besides the knobs, I really like the old file boxes- very cool. Maybe they would inspire me to stay organized! Somehow one is not so inspired to file things away in an ugly metal cabinet.

Congrats!

Don't think I have ever coveted someone's file boxes...until NOW! These are gorgeous, and the perfect place for those wonderful ghost knobs.

Dear Theresa, Here is a perfect example. You have chosen images that make all the difference. The product is almost not recognizable when used with more ordinary designs. You have the magic touch. I will use this product using my original ceramics. Thank you for letting us know about this unique product.

Gina! Your ceramics would be killer subject matter for these knobs! Please do a post on the process.

Hi Theresa, I ordered about a dozen square knobs incorporating my hand painted ceramics. I chose an assortment of my Italian Renaissance designs. It will take about 15 days before I receive them. I will send you pictures. Thank you for making me aware of this great product.
